Slacker 85 continues its mission to shine a light on the scene’s most talented, creatively assured figures with ‘Speaker People’, the new collaboration between Good For You Records founder Kenny Summit and Serenades owner Roberto Rodriguez.

Having worked with Frankie Knuckles, Giorgio Moroder and Kool Herc, it’s an understatement to note that the inimitable Kenny Summit knows his way around the history of dance music. A DJ, producer and label-owner of untarnished passion and cool, this esteemed link-up with Roberto Rodriguez distills all that’s righteous, even rapturous in house music into a peak-time bomb with a classic touch, naturally already much tried-and-tested by Troxler and his trusted cohorts.

Helsinki producer Rodriguez has long provided a unique perspective on house culture and his dynamic, deeply physical approach to production and sound design provides the foundation for ‘Speaker People’. Meeting with Summit's authentic, East Coast touch, the pair oscillate between the influence of man and machine without ever submitting to anything but the dancefloor.
